Upcoming Overnight QEW Closures

During the week of October 26, 2026, overnight full closures of the QEW will be in effect between Brant Street and north of Fairview Street to facilitate emergency pavement repair work. These closures will be weather-dependent.

  • QEW Toronto-Bound (TB): October 26 and 27, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

  • QEW Fort Erie-Bound (FEB): October 28 and 29, 2026, from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Detour Routes

  • QEW Toronto-Bound (TB): Vehicles will exit to Highway 403 at the QEW/403 transfer, exit at Waterdown Road, turn left, re-enter Highway 403 eastbound, and continue to the QEW Toronto-Bound transfer.

  • QEW Fort Erie-Bound (FEB): Vehicles will exit to Highway 403 at the QEW/403 transfer, exit at Waterdown Road, turn left, re-enter Highway 403 eastbound, and continue to the QEW Fort Erie-Bound transfer.

A signed detour route will be in place to guide motorists safely around the closure area. Please follow all posted detour signage and allow additional travel time.
