Project Schedule

The following schedule outlines the timing of planned key components within each calendar year over the contract’s duration. This schedule will be updated as the project progresses.

Year 1 - 2026

• QEW Fort Erie and Toronto-bound shoulder strengthening.

• QEW median overpass construction at Brant Street.

• QEW median overpass construction at CNR Corridor.

• Widening of the highway median.

• Other works include lighting upgrades, temporary works to facilitate construction, and traffic signals.    

Year 2 - 2027

• QEW median overpass construction at Brant Street

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at Brant Street.

• QEW median overpass construction at CNR Corridor.

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at CNR Corridor.

• QEW median overpass at Fairview Street.

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at Fairview Street.

• Rehabilitation of the Hwy 403/Hwy 407 ramp to Fairview structure.  

• Widening of the highway median.

• Other works include light upgrades, temporary work to facilitate construction, and traffic signals.   

Year 3 - 2028

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at Brant Street.

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at CNR Corridor.

• Rehabilitation of the QEW Fort Erie overpass at Fairview Street.

Year 4 - 2029

• Asphalt resurfacing on the QEW Fort Erie-bound.

• Asphalt resurfacing on the Guelph Line underpass

• Remaining highway improvement, including OHS installations.
